About the ØW Collection

While Carga’s previous collections are known for experimenting with materials such
as felt and rivets, the ØW Collection moves this experimentation to the design process
itself, by concentrating on one guiding principle: no waste.

Each bag in the ØW Collection starts as a simple rectangular strip, cut from the full
width of a roll of fabric.
Without any further trimming, this rectangle is cleverly folded and sewn to shape
each of the three available models.
Even the raw edges of the fabric - which are usually discarded - are retained.
They become the signature and distinctive feature of this collection.

About the Sleeve Collection

With the launch of the Sleeve collection, Carga continues its tradition of bringing architecturally inspired
design to personal goods through its minimalistic aesthetic and understated luxury.

Carga’s characteristic design ethos is manifested the folding of a single piece of vegetable tanned cow hide, from Argentina.

The Sleeve collection is designed for the iPad and 13”, 15” and 17” MacBooks.

We hope you enjoy them too.

NOTES

• Due to the vegetable tanning process, the shade of the leather may vary from batch to batch.
• Leather is a natural material and no two hides are the same. Marking and irregularities are part of the bag's personality.
• Over time, the leather will age and start loosing its original shine. If you prefer your bag to shine, you can restore it using leather polish.
• no chemicals are used to treat our bags. Slight rubbing on other items may occur, especially if wet.
So take care in the rain. If clothes get stained, wash immediately.

About the Felt Collection

The very first Carga bag was made using industrial wool felt intended for a completely different project.
When working with the felt, we realized it was perfect for making bags.

The Felt Collection has since become our flagship line and industrial wool felt is still our signature material.

Our bags step away from traditional bag-making methods by being assembled (rather than sewn) with hardware parts.

We are very proud with the achieved result, combining a minimal, understated look with industrial details.

All bags are batch produced and hand assembled in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a family run workshop.

A Carga bag carries an embossed serial numbered metal disc emphasizing the unique character of each bag.

• due to the nature of industrial wool felt, shade may vary from batch to batch.
• slight lint loss is normal, especially when first using the bag.
• light rain does not affect the felt. If soaked, leave to dry at room temperature
the bag will retain its shape and strength after drying.
• for additional waterproofing apply 3M Scotchguard, Kiwi's protector or a similar product.

cleaning instructions: wash the affected area with lukewarm soap water and leave to dry.

About the Leather Collection

The idea to work in leather started when we came across a 150 year old family-owned tannery in Buenos Aires.
In fact, it is the only tannery in the city still to use vegetable tanning rather than chemical processes.
Their unique craftsmanship respects the integrity of the leather resulting in stunning hides that age beautifully.

Working in small batches, together we developed a deep brown cowhide to contrast with the hardware parts used for assembling each bag.

The leather collection includes five all-leather bags.
